I enjoy working and playing in recording studios, whether it’s someone else’s material or my own. I’ve been hired many times to add my own style on a piece of music. What I’ve learned: A good understanding of what the leader of the music needs is of primary importance to do sessions. That and a non-confrontational personality and on the spot adaptability are required. Check your ego at the door. Being able to play many styles with an attention to efficient playing, solid time and precision is a must. I am always working on refining the jack-of-all-trades perspective for my craft.
